Not only is the rising cost of education leading to harsh economic affects such as a decline in the purchase of housing, it is also having affects on the amount of marijuana younger generations are using.  With the average debt after school now topping $35,000, scientists postulate that students are turning to marijuana to give them a higher high for their buck.

Over the past seven years, cannabis usage has risen 4.5% amongst those 18-25 years of age, while alcohol use has fallen 2.5% amongst the same age group.  What will be the long term effects of this rise in drug use?
